Thom Glace is a transparent watercolor artist specializing in nature studies, from trout and saltwater gamefish to dragonflies, songbirds, shorebirds, and mayflies.
Thom and his wife, Mary, lived a nomadic life while his international marketing career took them through North Carolina, New Hampshire, St. Croix, the Netherlands, and Pennsylvania, with travel to more than 80 countries.
After a disabling heart condition brought that chapter to a close, Thom began his art career. His work has since appeared in exhibitions throughout the East Coast and beyond, and has been featured by Montana Trout Magazine, Southern Trout Magazine, Fly Dreamers, Mid-Atlantic Fly Fishing Guide, Virginia Wildlife Magazine, and Tenkara Magazine. He was the featured artist for the 2014 Virginia Fly Fishing Festival and the Cape Lookout Albacore & Redfish Festival from 2016 through 2018, and was named Fly Life Magazine's 2018 Artist of the Year.
In addition to available originals, many paintings listed as sold or commissioned are available as archival paper or canvas prints.
